Presented by Sue Prescott
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, one of the founders of the Theosophical Society, published her magnum opus, The Secret Doctrine, in 1888. The first section of The Secret Doctrine is Cosmogenesis, which focuses on the origin and evolution of the universe. The 2nd is Anthropogenesis, which discusses the appearance of the first human beings as they progress into who we are today. In her work, HPB explains the principles behind the manifestation of our world as well as the occult constitution of a human being. She also includes how these concepts can be applied to daily life.
Join Sue Prescott as she explores Cosmogenesis in the first presentation, which will include the birth of the cosmos, the purpose of life, good and evil, consciousness and substance, karma, and evolution. A second talk will take place during the Winter Program, which will cover Anthropogenesis. Sue’s presentation will translate the mystery language of myths, symbols and allegories into easily understandable language and ideas.
Author of Realizing the Self Within, a book on accessing one’s own inner wisdom, Sue is a social worker, therapist, life-long theosophist, and frequent lecturer for the Theosophical Society.
