While running competitively, Kalpanatit Broderick, coach Kal, realized that along with setting his sights on outer success, running must also become an inner quest, a quest for peace within. This quest took him to a place where he was able to transcend his attachment to outer results and instead he began to focus on the joy of the run and the peace that followed.
Join us while coach Kal Broderick explains the remarkable convergence of a life-long immersion in the deep spiritual tradition of the world-renowned meditation teacher, Sri Chimnoy, and being a top-level collegiate and professional athlete. He will tell us about his spiritual path, beginning at the age of four, his journey to becoming an elite athlete, and how he is teaching others how to attain their physical peak today.
Coach Kal Broderick retired from professional athletics to devote his time to teaching others how to blend physical and nutritional excellence with meditation and inner peace. He is a certified personal and group fitness trainer, as well as the Head Nike Run Club coach here in Seattle. Kal is a graduate of Georgetown University where he received a track and field scholarship and post-collegiately, he competed for Nike, as a professional middle distance runner (2003-2011).
